This is why arts are so important in the public school system, Sara and the arts truly saved my life. ~ Anthony Ramos, Broadway Actor – Hamilton
I’ve known Sara for over 5 years and have worked with her in different capacities on a number of projects. She is extremely well organized and very clear in the goals and outcome desired.
Sara has worked with people of varying backgrounds and is quite skillful at creating strong teams.
One of her strongest abilities is recognizing people’s strengths and being able to bring out their talents within a team structure. When times get tense and deadlines are quickly approaching, Sara never loses her sense of humor or patience which is really special. ~ Laurie Windsor – President CEC 20 (Community Education Council)
My name is Ms. Allert. I was a fifth grade teacher at P.S. 164 when Sara came to our school to do an empowering workshop with our fifth grade girls. The workshop was beneficial for the girls. They were happy to share their feelings about certain issues. I think one of the most important aspects of the workshop is that the girls felt safe to share deep feelings about anxiety and issues involving their self esteem. They learned strategies to help them cope with some problems they may face. ~ Ms. Allert, Grade 5 teacher
Sara spoke with my students and created a safe and comfortable environment for them to share their emotions. They felt empowered and left feeling better with strategies to handle many tough situations. I would highly recommend Sara! ~ Ms. Ng, Grade 5 Teacher
Sara came to us at a time of need and helped empower my girls to achieve their fullest potential and love themselves for who they are. She presented herself with confidence, sensitivity and energy while working my 5th grade students. Sara has a warmth about her that is both fabulous and wonderful and is an excellent role model for the girls. ~ Ms. Steinberg, Principal
I have been to many trainings in my life and none compare to the DASA (DIGNITIY ACT) training with Sara Steinweiss at The College of Staten Island. The course is 6 hours, but it felt like I blinked and it was over and I wanted more. The professionalism and heart Sara puts into this training is beyond words. I would suggest this training to anyone who wants an amazing experience where you learn tools that will not only help you professionally but personally. You will not be let down!” ~ Vanessa Modafferri – NYCDOE Paraprofessional – IS 96
I’m writing to tell you about an amazing woman, her name is Sara Steinweiss. I asked her to come to my school to do a class for me. It was a very difficult group of students, well Sara had these kids engaged in her work and very happy they wanted to know when she could come back. She’s an incredible woman.” ~ Carol Napolitano – SAPIS II / KECSS
